Birth Storytelling from $500

"Birth storytelling" is an add-on service which includes taking photos and short video snippets during your birth and then putting this together into a slideshow. Your birth slideshow will tell your unique birth story and is the perfect keepsake to remember your special day. I guarantee to complete the slideshow within 72 hours of your birth so it can also serve as a birth announcement. This fee covers my time after the birth to create the slideshow (up to 10 hours) and includes 1 licensed audio track for your slideshow. The finished product will be approximately 3-5 minutes, depending on the number of photos and the length of the audio track.

The fee does not include birth attendance and is therefore only available to clients who have engaged me as their doula (see Option A below). If you are interested in this as a stand alone service, please contact me for a quote. I am offering discounted prices while building my portfolio (conditions apply). I can also offer this service if you have photos/video already taken that you would like put together into a slideshow (Option B). The fee is still the same however the consult is longer so I can understand your birth story.

Privacy Fee: The above fee ($500) assumes that a minimum of 5 images and the slideshow itself will be shared publicly on my website and social media pages. If you do not wish this to occur, an additional fee ($250) is charged.

Extra editing: An additional fee is payable if editing is requested after the final product has been created. This is charged at $60 per hour.

I have created this premium birth support package for those wanting the absolute best in birth support and birth photography. It is also great value as it includes $4000 worth of services!! I am working with local photographer Mel Fisher of MJF Photography (who is incredible) so that you have a dedicated photographer to capture each moment. As your doula, I can't always catch every moment as my primary role is to support you and your partner at the birth. This package also includes a dedicated back up doula and access to a lactation consultant so you will have a complete team behind you every step of the way. Includes:

About Me

As I am relatively new to photography, let me tell you a little bit about my background and personal qualities. I have a creative spirit although I wouldn't describe myself as "arty". I write songs and poetry, I sing, I play the piano, guitar, and trumpet and have dabbled in a bit of drawing. These have been outlets of self expression and reflection rather than avenues for performance. In addition to my creative side, I enjoy gaining new skills and have an aptitude for learning. I have been a doula and childbirth educator for over 9 years. I am gentle, warm and friendly. :)

My Style

I personally love observational-style photography. I love capturing life's little "moments". I'm not into posing or artificially constructed frames. I am also very interested in low light photography (taking photos without a flash) as this is ideal during births.

My Inspiration

I have two very dear friends who supported me during my last pregnancy and birth and took some beautiful photos. I had not had professional photos in any of my previous pregnancies/births. This experience showed me how wonderful it is to capture the beautiful moments of pregnancy and birth. I will treasure these memories and photos forever. Below is a selection of my favourite pics.
